PAC Collect Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

PAC Collect collects the email addresses of those who communicate with us by email, aggregate information about what pages visitors access, and information volunteered by users of the service. We use this information to operate and improve PAC Collect, and we do not share or sell it to other organizations for commercial purposes, except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

  • It is necessary to share information to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activity, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law.
  • We share the information needed to process a contribution or payment with the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), including its e-commerce and M1 systems, and with the relevant state or local REALTOR® association, so the funds and records reach the correct RPAC account.
  • We transfer information about you if PAC Collect is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, PAC Collect will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Information We Collect

PAC Collect is used two ways: by approved collectors, who take contributions and event payments on their phone, and by REALTOR® members, who make them (contributors). We keep the contact information we collect to a minimum:

  • From collectors: email address and phone number, used to set up and manage your account. Collectors sign in with a one-time password; we do not create or store passwords.
  • From contributors: your name, license number, or other details used to locate or create your record in NAR's M1 database. Providing an email address is optional and only used to send you a payment request.
  • The amount of a contribution or payment, and the event or item it relates to (for example, an RPAC contribution, an auction item, a raffle entry, or a dinner ticket).
  • Basic technical information, such as device type and app usage, needed to keep the service running properly.

We use this information to process contributions and payments, confirm identity, keep accurate records, provide reporting to associations and collectors, meet recordkeeping obligations that apply to RPAC contributions, and improve the service.

Payment Information

PAC Collect does not directly store your credit card information. Payments are processed through NAR e-commerce, which complies with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). PAC Collect receives confirmation that a payment was completed and routes the record to the association's RPAC account. Your card details are never held by PAC Collect.

RPAC Contributions

RPAC is a political action committee, and contributions to it may be subject to recordkeeping and disclosure requirements under applicable campaign finance laws, separate from this policy. NAR, RPAC, and the relevant state or local association may be required to retain, and in some cases disclose, certain contributor information as part of those obligations.

Cookies

A cookie is a small amount of data, often including an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device.

Cookies are not required to use PAC Collect, though your experience may be degraded if you disable them. We may use cookies to record session information and remember returning users. You may be required to sign in again after a period of time, to help protect your account.

Data Storage

PAC Collect uses third-party vendors and hosting partners to provide the hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology needed to run the service. PAC Collect owns the code, databases, and all rights to the PAC Collect application; you retain all rights to your data.

Disclosure

PAC Collect may disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as:

  • To comply with subpoenas, or when your actions violate our Terms of Service.
  • When necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activity, including fraud, or situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person.
  • To NAR, RPAC, and the relevant state or local REALTOR® association, as needed to process, record, and report contributions and payments.
  • As otherwise permitted or required by law.

Changes

PAC Collect may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by sending a notice to the email address on your account, or by posting a notice on our website.
